this is not really suited for the wiki. it's very specific to 2007 Spring and VirtualBox 1.3.8. it'd go stale very rapidly on the wiki and it'd be one of those things just dumped on the wiki that didn't work with the other content. i want to keep stuff like that out of the wiki. this works better as a one-shot article.
