Dear Lazyweb

I'm back on my 'personal egroupware' kick. Here's a simplified version: can someone point me at a F/OSS to do list web app? I want one that I run on my own server, not some company which runs one for me. So, basically, Remember The Milk, but the actual server code, not just a service I can use. It seems like an absurdly simple bit of code, way simpler than a Wordpress or whatever, but I just can't find one anywhere... edit: hey, lookit that, I found one. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks like what I need.

Zarafa? ;) I mean, I spent a lot of time trying to find out similar simple partial solutions, until I decided I need to give up. You will always need more tools to more partial stuff. E.g., how about synchronization with a cellphone?

mytinytodo has a fairly decent mobile UI, which is workable. i don't actually care hugely about syncing my todo list with my phone, as it mostly contains work stuff i couldn't *do* from my phone anyway.

That was obviously just an example of yet one more thing you will yet another service for.

A partial solution that works is better than a big scary full-on groupware server that doesn't.

Have you looked at Horde? I know it is big, but it does seem to do what you want, I'm testing it soon with syncing to android mobile etc. but as for now, it seems to fit the bill. Coming from Zimbra, Horde seems a lot more lightweight as well.

Phil: yes - comes under the 'doesn't damn well work' category. It's the closest I've tried, but what would happen is it would want to slow-sync every time, which leads to everything getting duplicated...then triplicated...then...quadlicated?...and so on. Also they're now moving on to Horde 4, which isn't packaged for anything, seemingly.
